Veterinary specialty:

Veterinary medicine is a branch of medicine that deals with diseases and disorders affecting animals, diagnosing and treating them. Besides, it deals with animal husbandry, research in nutrition, and product development. The scope of veterinary medicine is broad, and covers all types of animals, both domestic and wild. Veterinary medicine also helps maintain human health by monitoring and combating diseases that arise from animals and food safety by monitoring the health of livestock and poultry.

 

Number of years of studying veterinary in Turkey:

The number of years to study veterinary medicine in Türkiye is five years.

An academic year may be increased, which is a preparatory year for the language, if the student is not fluent in one of the two languages, whether Turkish or English.
