About the university:
The university was actually established in 1982, but its roots go back to 1883. It is one of the most famous and largest Turkish public universities located in the Asian part of Istanbul city in Turkey. Marmara University is also considered the second largest university in Turkey, with a student population of 60,000. The university is unique in that it is the only Turkish university that offers bachelor’s and post-baccalaureate programs in four languages: Turkish, English, German, and French. One of the most famous graduates of this university is the current President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.
